Priscilla Howe’s presentation is a hands-on workshop for Kansans interested in becoming storytellers for their own families, communities, or as preservers of Kansas’s wide range of dynamic folk traditions. Participants will listen, laugh, and linger over memories of their lives. In telling our own stories, we discover our uniqueness, as well as our common ground.

Priscilla, a storyteller and facilitator of storytelling workshops, was inspired by the importance of preserving and sharing America’s history during the America 250 celebrations. This workshop is a product of that inspiration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Tell Your Own Story,a free workshop, begins at 10:00am and will be held at the Lindsborg Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum, located at 120 E. Mill Street.
