The concept behind the Lindsborg Collects…Lindsborg Art exhibition is that the story behind the acquisition of the art is as important as the work itself. The story could be about how piece was purchased (or even bartered), the personalities involved, or the tongue-in-cheek moments.
A community reception for the exhibit is scheduled for Sunday, April 6, 2:00-4:00pm at the Smoky Valley Arts & Folklife Center, 114 1/2 S. Main Street.
Smoky Valley Arts & Folklife Center, a volunteer-run organization, is supported by the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission, National Endowment for the Arts, the McPherson County Community Foundation, and the Raymer Society. Hours are 1:00-5:00pm, Friday-Sunday. The exhibition is a part of the month-long Messiah Festival of the Arts celebration.
